The last time we've heard from Avery Storm he was getting "Rich Off Cocaine" with Rick Ross in 2009. Now the R&B crooner is back on the solo tip and has been releasing some free songs through his AveryStorm.com website. The latest tune is called 'Nightcall," which is an unique flip of Kavinsky's vocoder-tinged tune of the same name, which was produced by Daft Punk. You might also recognize this song from the Ryan Gosling movie Drive and rapper Childish Gambino recently sampled the song for "R.I.P" on his mixtape Royalty.
In the video, Storm is driving his car in the dead of night as he pours his heart out over the acoustic-driven track. It's a beautiful rendition and Storm's yearning vocals turns Kavinsky's 80's-inspired song into a contemporary power-pop ballad.
It's a great song and a dope video. Props to Avery Storm.
