So we are happy to report that the North Carolina rapper is set to drop her debut album The Idea of Beautiful on Aug. 28 via Jamla Records. Under the tutelage of Grammy Award-winning producer 9th Wonder, Rapsody has been making a name for herself in the underground rap scene. Today (Aug. 6), Rapsody dropped a new video for "Believe Me," her latest single from the aforementioned album.
In the Kenneth Price-directed video Rapsody spits introspective rhymes over 9th Wonder's ethereal production as she's surrounded by her Jamla Records family. The infectious "heebie jeebies" chorus was inspired by Lauryn Hill's verse off of the Fugees' song "Ready or Not."
