"You are blessed with an indomitable spirit and will never acknowledge defeat. You are farsighted, resourceful, and intellectual, and have good executive ability. You are affectionate, loyal, and fond of your home and friends."
-- My Birthday Lore, from the Farmer's Almanac

I reached another milestone today. Damn, I'm getting old.

So today, on my vainglorious B'Day, I treated myself to a new silver-colored 4GB iPod nano (2nd Generation). Peep a more detailed review of the new nano right HERE.

My music sounds nice, the earphones fit in my ears and the screen is much more brighter! The battery life on this thing is dope (24 hours playing time), I don't have to recharge as much. Cool!

I'm wishing for a huge monetary windfall today. But since that's not going to happened anytime soon, this is all I need for my birthday: An iPod nano and my music.

And I swiped this music meme for the day.

RULE: Make a list of 7 songs that you've been listening to lately.

01. Lupe Fiasco: "American Terrorist"
Lupe Fiasco's "Food & Liquor" is a very good rap album. On this song, the Chi-City verbalist offers food for thought for people who think that Islam promotes terrorism. America has a rich history of being terrorists, as well (think back, think back). Pope Benedict XVI should have thought about that before he gave that bullshit speech the other day.

02. Joy Denalane: "Sometimes Love"
Joy Denalane's album "Born & Raised" is simply this year's glaringly soulful pop album. It's one of the best albums of 2006. Go cop it!

03. J Dilla: "Jungle Love" (Featuring MED & Guilty Simpson)
J Detroit to the I-L-L-A! "The Shining" album is off the chain, y'all. Missy ya Jay Dee.

04. John Coltrane: "Love Supreme, Part I"
I'm always listening to Johnny. You can never go wrong with some 'Trane in your iPod.

05. Governor: "Blood, Sweat & Tears"
In my 36 years, I've shed a lot of blood, a lot of sweat and a helluva lot of tears.

06. Slave: "Thank You"
Thank you for all of your support.

07. J Dilla: "So Far To Go" (Featuring Common)
I'm going to end this with a Dilla joint.

Holla!
