A Few Reasons . . . To Love Dwele
August 30, 2009
On the latest edition of Soulful Sunday, the good folks at KevinNottingham.com has put together a wonderful downloadable compilation dedicated to the smooth, mellow and head-nodding sounds of Dwele. I guarantee one of your favorite joints by the Detroit soul crooner is on the collection. I'm impressed with the inclusion of Dwele's cover songs like his remake of Stevie Wonder's "Too High," Earth, Wind & Fire's "That's The Way of the World" and Michael Jackson's "Startin Somethin'."But there are a few glaring omissions: "A Few Reasons (Truth Pt. 2)" (via Sketches From a Man), "Old Lovas" (from Some Kinda...), "In the Rain" (Boney James' Shine LP) and "You" (his duet with Goapele on her Change It All LP).
All and all, this compilation is a worthy listen.

Recently, Dwele has been making some noise with his creative videos on his YouTube channel. After the jump, check out the D-man's clips including my personal favorite, "How I Deal" (Waitin' on Obama), which was filmed on the day (Jan. 19) President Obama was sworn into office.
Dwele -- "Travelin' Girl"
Dwele -- "Human Nature" (Michael Jackson Tribute)
Dwele -- "Actin' Normal" (Baatin Tribute)
Dwele -- "How I Deal" (Waitin' On Obama)
