New Mixtape: Madlibology 101

Madlib (aka Beat Konducta) is the most gifted and enigmatic producer in hip-hop. His discography alone is crazy!

A Tumblr blogger named Habib gathered some of his favorite Madlib tracks and created a banging mixtape called Madlibology 101. It's certainly not an exhaustive collection (it's only 18 tracks), but it does feature some dope beats and rhymes. Check it out below:

Kanye West went on a Twitter rant early Saturday afternoon celebrating his latest G.O.O.D. Friday release, "So Appalled." The posse track, which leaked Friday (Sept. 24), featured Jay-Z, the RZA, Swizz Beatz, Pusha T and rap newcomer Cyhi the Prince. "'So Appalled' might be my personal favorite Good Friday song, so far," he tweeted to his followers. "It's just my favorite style of [hip-hop] done very modern."

Yeezy also is feeling good about the songs for his upcoming duet project with Jay-Z called Watch the Thrown (reportedly due in stores Nov. 23). So far, the LP features beats by Pete Rock, Q-Tip and Madlib. "Music is so fun right now," he tweeted. "[Hip-hop] is alive. The [hip-hop] I always loved . . . an extension of what me and Jay did on [Blueprint 3]." West also added, "We don't play by radio rules . . . we come together as a family and give the fans what they need."
