New Music: David Banner & 9th Wonder - "Silly" | Video: "Be With You"

Cool Shades: David Banner

David Banner and 9th Wonder's collaborative LP Death of a Pop Star arrives in stores on Tuesday (Dec. 21). It would make a great Christmas present for the hip-hop fan in your life.

This also marks 9th's second collaborative album this year -- the first being Fornever, his fourth duet project with Los Angeles rapper Murs. Fornever was a good album but not better than their previous works together.

Banner and 9th's latest single, "Silly" is a smooth joint featuring Ms. Badu and a strong rap performance from 9th. In addition, I also included the video for "Be With You" featuring Ludacris.

New Music: Mystikal - "That Woman"

When Mystikal finally drops his long-awaited comeback album next year, there's going to be a serious problem. Nobody is rapping like this. The New Orleans spitfire's raunchy song "That Woman" is misogynistic but it's an interesting sex tale. Think back to the days of those old X-rated Too Short songs and you'll appreciate this for what it's worth. It's also has a nice little bounce to it, too.

Mystikal is back!

New Music: Wiz Khalifa - "Black & Yellow" (G-Mix) [F/ Snoop Dogg, Juicy J & T-Pain]

Check out the official remix to Wiz Khalifa's Pittsburgh (Pa.) anthem "Black and Yellow." The "G-Mix" version features strong rap performances from Snoop Dogg, Three 6 Mafia's Juicy J and T-Pain. Peep Juicy J's X-Mas line: "I'mma bubble bee lit up like a crimas tree/ Drinking Hennessy, black, I'm from Tennessee."

I could do without T-Pain verse, otherwise, this song will get extra spins in my iPod. Expect to hear this joint played ad nasuem at your hottest New Year's Eve party on Dec. 31. And rightfully so, because Wiz's "Black & Yellow" was one of the biggest rap songs in 2010.

Heather Victoria

Heather Victoria is a talented up-and-coming R&B songbird from North Carolina who has been touted as the "next Mary J. Blige." Fellow Carolinian 9th Wonder is mentoring the young singer-songwriter and produced a few tracks on her outstanding mixtape Victoria's Secret.

Directed by Kenneth Price, "The Letter" video features Victoria as a unhappily married woman who leaves her inattentive husband a heartbreaking good-bye letter.

New Music: Kanye West - "Christmas In Harlem" (F/ Cam'ron, Jim Jones, Cyhi Da Prynce, Pusha T, Big Sean & Teyana Taylor)

Kanye West corralled rap heavyweights Cam'ron, Jim Jones, Pusha T, Big Sean, CyHi da Prince and Teyana Taylor to help him with this yuletide ditty, "Christmas In Harlem." Aside from a few off-color lyrics, this is a joyous holiday jam.
