Ohio beat-maker J Rawls dropped this dope track called "Producer on the Mic" featuring Diamond D, Oh No and Kev Brown -- producers who also rap on the mic. This is the latest single from J Rawls' upcoming solo rap album The Hip-Hop Affect, which hit stores May 17 (via Nature Sounds). According to a press release, The Hip-Hop Affect will feature guest appearances from Rhymefest, Tanya Morgan, Stalley, Wise Intelligent, Sadat X and more.

"Producers on the Mic" is a solid boom-bap joint that sounds fresh without sounding retro. It's certainly needed in today's rap climate where everything sounds like Rick Ross's "B.M.F." or Ace Hood's "Hustle Hard." No shots at Lex Luger. Check it out and download the track below:
