Audio: Vast Aire - "Thor's Hammer" (F/ Raekwon & Vordul Mega)

Vast Aire Single

The long-awaited Cannibal Ox reunion is here and it sounds a little lackluster. In my opinion, you can't have a Can Ox reunion without El-P on the beat, that's what made The Cold Vein such a lyrical and sonic masterpiece. However, the beat does knock on "Thor's Hammer" and Raekwon comes through with a sturdy verse. It's also good to hear Vordul Mega again. Vast Aire's LP OX 2010: A Street Odyssey is available now on iTunes. Go cop that!

Erick Sermon Talks Sheek Louch, Rick Ross Collaborations (Video)

Erick Sermon

Erick Sermon has the Internets going nuts over his collaborative songs with Sheek Louch ("Dodge This") and Rick Ross ("Niggaz Ain't Me"). The viral tracks are the first pieces of music from the Green-Eyed Bandit in 9 years. Music website IndustryMuscle.com recently talked with E-Double and he reveals how he secured Rozay's $40K-paid verse and Sheek's feature, as well. In addition, Erick is gearing up to release more music on his own imprint Def Squad Digital. If you've been living under rock, I posted the aforementioned songs below.

CyHi Da Prynce - "Can't Wait" (Music Video)

Royal Flush Mixtape

G.O.O.D. Music artist CyHi da Prynce releases a new video for the song "Can't Wait" from his 2010 mixtape Royal Flush. The clip was directed by Decatur Dan and the track was produced by the Argonauts. This is one of my favorite songs from CyHi's mixtape, which boasts street bravado rhymes and introspective lyrics from the Decatur, Ga. rapper. "My style is real hip-hop," says CyHi. "But I bring the Atlanta swag on top of that."

Audio: Consequence - "My Way Home"

'Home' Coming: Cons and GSH

Although Consequence is not f**king with Kanye West musically, he spits bars over the rapper-producer's song "My Way Home" (featuring Common) from the Late Registration LP. If you listen closely, the song features a sample of the late Gil Scott-Heron tune "Home Is Where the Hatred Is."

Some are wondering why is Cons using a Kanye track since he has beef with him, but the song might be a subliminal message. From my interpretation, Consequence seems to suggest that he can't go "home" to his former label G.O.O.D. Music because 'Ye "hates" him.  But who knows? It could very well be Cons' tribute song to Gil Scott-Heron.
