New Music: Swizz Beatz - "Street Knock" (F/ A$AP Rocky) [Prod. by araabMUZIK]

It's showtime! Swizz Beatz unveiled his new banger "Street Knock" today (March 22) on Hot 97's Angie Martinez Show. The song features in-demand rapper A$AP Rocky and was produced by drum-pad king araabMUZIK.

The beat definitely knocks under some violin plucking and eerie keyboards. Swizz is not known for his lyrical dexterity (and I'm being kind here), so it's A$AP Rocky who comes through with some decent rhymes.

"Use to push the Jag / Stolen tag / Scrap the serial / Mouth row, top row / Full of gold material / 88 back bass bumpin' through your stereo / Chicken noodle soup and mixin' soda with the cereal," he raps.

Swizz is currently working on his Limitless mixtape project, so expect to hear more bangers in the future.

New Video: Nardwaur the Human Serviette Vs. A$AP Rocky

ASAP Rocky

You gotta love Nardwuar the Human Serviette. This guy has the most entertaining and thorough video interviews on the Internet. Aspiring journos take note -- this is how you do interviews. In his latest video, Nard interviews A$AP Rocky and his entourage during the SXSW festival.

Some things we learned about the A$AP Mob:

One of A$AP Mob's favorite Harlem hangouts is the tattoo shop Black Ink Gallery.

A$AP Ferg's late father designed the Bad Boy logo for Puff Daddy (aka Diddy).

A$AP Rocky Loves Angie Martinez.

A$AP Ty Beats's father has a great music library.

A$AP Rocky will eat from Jimbo's restaurant (aka the "dirty kitchen").

A$AP Mob Reps Harlem to the fullest.

New Music: Nas - "The Don" (Prod. By Heavy D x Salaam Remi x Da Internz)

King the Ring: Nas

"Heavy D gave this beat to Salaam for me to rap to..."

Nas is back with a street banger courtesy of the late Heavy D with assists from Salaam Remi and Da Internz. The dancehall-tinged beat is thorough and I can hear a Super Cat sample in the mix. As always, Nas is still lyrically sharp as he reminds us why he's still one of the best rappers in the game.

"Worth more than the blood of a martyr / So I'mma keep it on til I see billion dollars," he rhymes.

Nas' tenth and still-untitled album is due out later this year.

**UPDATE:**

Nas released his blazing new track without Funkmaster Flex's annoying bombs.

New Video: Mystikal - "Original" (F/ Lil Wayne & Birdman)

Tre Originals: Rapper Mystikal, Birdman & Lil Wayne

I'm glad that Mystikal is on the comeback trail. I have been championing Mystikal's return to the rap game (Check the archives) every since he was released from prison in 2010 after serving a six-year sentence. The New Orleans spitfire has signed with Cash Money Records and he recently announced that his new album is called Original. The collection is scheduled to hit stores this summer.

Here's the video for title track, which was directed by Gil Green.
