New Video: Nas - "The Don"

The Don Dada: Nas

Check out the video for Nas' new single "The Don." The Super Cat-sampling tune, which was produced by Heavy D (R.I.P.), Salaam Remi and Da Internz, is from his upcoming tenth LP Life Is Good.

Judging by the visuals, life is pretty good for Nasty Nas. In the clip, we see the rap legend living the glamorous life -- eating gourmet meals, reading the newspaper in a vintage Rolls Royce and chilling in the club with exotic babes. But on the flip side, we get to see Nas rock a show at an underground club.

The message -- It ain't where you from, it's where you're at.

The Don Dada is back!

New Video: M.E.D. + Hodgy Beats - "Outta Control"

M.E.D. and Hodgy Beats

This video is literally out of control ... but it's brilliant.

Rapper M.E.D. and Odd Future producer-rapper Hodgy Beats star in a smoked-out video for the beat knocking song "Outta Control." In the clip, M.E.D. and Hodge invites us into a hallucinatory world of oversized blunts, big booty creatures and chairs made out of Kush.

Filmmakers Henry Demaio and Rory Gamble directed the trippy video along with Rory Gmable and Henry DeMaio who created the animated big booty monsters. Trippy, indeed. Turn it Up!

M.E.D.'s new album Classic is in stores now.

New Video: Joy Denalane - "No More"

Joy Denalane

Afro-German songbird Joy Denalane is not a household name and that's unfortunate because she should be. Her 2008 album Born & Raised is a glittering soul-pop album that featured rap collaborations with Raekwon and Lupe Fiasco.

She's back with a new album titled Maureen and "No More" is the lead single from the collection. The album was originally recorded in Swedish, but for the U.S. release, she when back in the studio and recorded all the songs in english.

The "No More" video features Ms. Denalane introducing us to various people of all walks of life -- young folks, crabby senior citizens, religious people and the average joe. The message -- we are all the same, so let's stop fighting and give peace a chance.

Sounds good to me. Check out the video.

New Music: Goodie Mob - "Fight to Win"

Goodie-mob

Goodie Mob has officially(?) reunited and appeared on NBC's The Voice Monday night (April 23) to debut their new single, "Fight to Win." Dressed like futuristic warriors in gold-armored suits, the Atlanta group performed the anthemic track, which is now available on iTunes.

The song has too much pop sheen, so it gets an "eh" from me, but it should garner them some attention on radio. Goodie Mob hasn't released an album in over 13 years (wow!). Their last album collectively as a group was 1999's World Party.

"Fight to Win" is from their new album Age Against the Machine, which is currently in production.

*REWIND*: Who's that peeking in my window? Pow!
